BlackCreek music festival closes after one season

Touted as Canada’s answer to such famous U.S. cultural extravaganzas as Tanglewood and Ravinia, Toronto’s ambitious BlackCreek Summer Music Festival is suspending operations this year, saying financial losses incurred in 2011 by its inaugural concert season have proved “too great … to move forward at this time.”
