Al Green Sales Increase After Obama Sings “Let’s Stay Together”

Since the President sang Al Green’s Lets Stay Together at a fundraiser last week, in the following eight days, the song has had a nice sales increase.

According to Billboard, the 1972 hit made a sales increase of 490 percent. The 45-second YouTube footage has been viewed more than 4.2 million times.

With the song totaling 16,000 downloads on Jan. 22, it has become the track’s best-selling week ever since SoundScan started recording digital sales.
