Today in 1980, Queen hit #1 with Crazy Little Thing Called Love

Today in 1980, No. 1 on the pop charts was Queen’s tribute to Elvis Presley, “Crazy Little Thing Called Love.” Freddie Mercury wrote it while taking a bath. Mercury played rhythm guitar while performing the song live, which was the first time he played guitar in concert (“I can’t play the guitar for nuts”, he said).
