Carlos Santana is a true guitar hero. His brand of Latin-influenced rock has inspired and entertained generations of fans. Over his 40 year career, he has sold more than 90 million records, won ten Grammy Awards (including nine for “Supernatural“), and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. With the release of “Guitar Heaven,” Santana joined the Rolling Stones as the only musical act to score at least one Top 10 album in every decade since the 1960s.
After achieving such widespread success, Santana could easily lay down his guitar and retire on a tropical island. But Santana is not one to rest on his laurels. He is a performer who loves to share his passion for music. In May 2012, the legendary guitarist will begin a two-year run of unique performances – “An Intimate Evening with Santana: Greatest Hits Live – Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow” at the House of Blues at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas.
“I am deeply honored that our new home in Las Vegas is The House of Blues at Mandalay Bay,” Santana said. “I have long admired their love of the Blues. We hope to honor and celebrate the diversity and brotherhood of world culture that the House of Blues promotes.”
The venue has been uniquely reconfigured to allow fans to enjoy the show in an intimate setting.
