The Weeknd Unveils North America Tour Dates

The Weeknd announces that he will venturing out for his first ever U.S. tour in the next week.

2011 brought us plenty of new artists, among the best though is the Canadian up and comer The Weeknd. Abel Tesfaye released his highly acclaimed ‘House of Ballons’ mixtape as a digital download in March of 2011, and quickly rose to fame.

The Weeknd followed up with two more mixtapes including ‘Thursday’ and closed out the year with the ‘Echoes of Silence‘ project. Much of The Weeknd’s fame is credited to Young Money artist Drake, and it looks like that fame will allow The Weeknd to embark upon his first ever U.S. tour.

The Weeknd will kick things off on April 15th at Indio, California for Coachella and will tour for a few months with stops all throughout California, and will finish things off on August 3rd, 2012 in Chicago, Illinois for Lollapalooza.
