Dick Clark passed away from a reported heart attack yesterday. He was 82 years old. Known primarily in recent years as the host of New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, music fans will always remember Clark as the long-time host of the iconic music variety show American Bandstand. Aired in various incarnations from 1952 until 1989, the Top 40 showcase (hosted by Clark for an amazing 33 years) introduced American teenagers to everyone from Paul Anka to RUN DMC with over 3,000 episodes in total.
