Obama awards Bob Dylan National Medal of Freedom

President Barack Obama announced this afternoon that he plans to award 13 people, including Bob Dylan National Medals of Freedom at a ceremony later this spring. The Medal of Freedom is “the Nation’s highest civilian honor,” a statement from the White House reads, “presented to individuals who have made especially meritorious contributions to the security or national interests of the United States, to world peace, or to cultural or other significant public or private endeavors.”
