Facebook hunt ‘tracks wife’s rapist’

He hunted down Andrew Marsh, 27, by claiming he was organising a surprise party for his wife on the social networking site.

He confronted Mr Marsh, a greengrocer, and beat him up before he convinced his wife to report the alleged rape in 2001 to police.

Mr Marsh, who is married, was arrested and charged with raping the woman in an alleyway when she was a schoolgirl.

The alleged victim, who cannot be named for legal reasons, told her husband about the alleged rape during a talk about their relationship difficulties, Maidstone Crown Court heard.
