TORONTO, ON (January 14, 2013) – An all-star lineup of Rockers will clash with a squad of NHL Greats for Moose Jaw’s first JUNO Cup on April 19 at Mosaic Place. Two of Canada’s favourite pastimes — hockey and music — come together for this celebrity hockey game in support of MusiCounts, Canada’s music education charity associated with CARAS.
Individual tickets to JUNO Cup are priced at $15 (plus service charges). Tickets will go on sale on Friday, January 18 at 11 a.m. (CST). The public can purchase tickets online at www.mosaicplace.ca, charge by phone at 306-624-2050 or visit the Mosaic Place Box Office. Proceeds benefit MusiCounts.
NHL Greats who have already confirmed attendance include former Montreal Canadien and Edmonton Oiler Mark Napier, former Toronto Maple Leaf and Calgary Flame Gary Roberts, former New Jersey Devils’ enforcer Troy Crowder, former Regina Pats and NHL Journeyman Mike Sillinger and former New York Islander Brad Dalgarno. Early “Rockers” confirmed to hit the ice include team captain Jim Cuddy (Blue Rodeo) and Regina’s Jason Plumb (The Waltons, Jason Plumb and The Willing).
Many more Rockers and NHL Greats will be announced in the coming weeks.
