Prism Prize reveals shortlist of 2012’s best Canadian music videos

Arcade Fire, Drake, Mother Mother and Grimes have made the shortlist for The Prism Prize’s best Canadian video of 2012. The winner will be chosen by a jury of music and film professionals across the country (I’m honoured to be one of the jury members.) The winner will be announced March 24 in Toronto. All my Top 3 picks have made the Top 10, which tells you nothing, as that’s pretty good for a fab.333 batting average, but still struck out 7 times.

Here are the full list of nominees:

Arcade Fire, Sprawl II (Director: Vincent Morisset)
Drake, H.Y.F.R (Director: Director X)
Grimes, Oblivion (Director: Emily Kai Bock)
Grimes, Genesis (Director: Claire Boucher)
Maylee Todd, Baby’s Got It (Director: Reynard Li)
Metz, Wet Blanket (Director: Scott Cudmore)
