After continued writing and sporadic recording in 2012, in November Liam Gallagher-led Beady Eye started recording the follow up to Different Gear, Still Speeding with musician and producer Dave Sitek. To assist in this they have acquired an original 1963 Harmony H22 bass guitar (As used by Ronnie Lane of the Faces and Muff Winwood of the Spencer Davis Group) from Charlie Chandler’s Guitar Experience of Hampton Wick. Not much has been revealed about the new album, except Liam has been quoted as saying the new album should have been the follow-up to Oasis’ (What’s The Story) Morning Glory. Big words, indeed, but don’t put it past The Kid from attempting to reach those heights. He might actually leap over them.
“Flick of the Finger”, the first single from the band’s upcoming album, is set to be released on April 15 2013.
