Dropkick Murphys are Boston boys from head to toe. So when twin bombings struck their city’s annual marathon this past Monday, the band sprung into action.
They designed t-shirts, adorned with a simple message and the word “FOR BOSTON,” emboldened in royal blue to honor the victims of the blast.
“Thank you, to all who purchase this shirt all proceeds go to the victims and families of the Boston Marathon Bombings. Love, Dropkick Murphys,” the back side of the commemorative shirt reads.
Turns out that pre-orders for the tees, which range between $24.99-$26.99 a piece, have been selling like hotcakes online. The band announced today that they’ve already raised a whopping $65,000, all of which is being given directly to victims of the bombing.
