Cher’s mom makes debut on Billboard charts

Singer Cher with her mother Georgia Holt

Cher’s mother can now boast her own singing success after her debut album entered the Billboard charts.

The singer’s mother, 86-year-old Georgia Holt, recorded her first studio album in 1980 with members of Elvis Presley’s band, but it took her decades to finally release it. “Honky Tonk Woman” debuted this week at No. 13 on the Heatseekers Albums countdown and at No. 43 on the Top Country Albums list.
