Sting Releasing Album of New Music in Fall

From Billboard:

Sting’s first full-length album of new music since 2003’s “Sacred Love” is on the horizon. The singer’s publicist tells the New York Times that he’ll release “The Last Ship” on Sept. 24.

The album, which will be released on Cherrytree, Interscope and A & M Records, consists of songs that Sting has written for a new musical of the same name. According to the Times, Sting has been working on the musical for three years, in a collaboration with John Logan and Brian Yorkey. Producers hope to bring the show to Broadway in 2014.
