Children are accessing the internet at such a young age these days. The majority of toddlers already know how to use an iPad or iPhone to access their books or games and children as young as six already have a social media account.
Some Two hundred thousand children aged six years or younger can be found using the social media site Facebook, with five million children under ten logging on, even though the legal age to register is thirteen.
It means that 42% of these children are using the social media platform underage. The scary truth of the matter is that 6% of these children will offer their home address and phone number on the site and 75% of them have their own social media accounts.
In this day and age 90% of children under the age of thirteen have used social media at some point.
