Jason Blaine, Chad Brownlee, Brett Kissel, and Small Town Pistols Announced As Performers on CCMAs

Jason Blaine 4

Jason Blaine, Chad Brownlee, Brett Kissel, and Small Town Pistols join the previously announced homegrown line-up that includes Autumn Hill, Gord Bamford, Dean Brody, George Canyon, Emerson Drive, High Valley, Kira Isabella, and Dallas Smith, as well as multi-Platinum international artists The Band Perry, Hunter Hayes, and Darius Rucker.

Jason Blaine has had a memorable start to 2013, with the success of his most recent single ‘Rock It Country Girl’ currently near the top of the Canadian country music charts. After Blaine won the 2012 Canadian Country Music Association Award™ for Single of the Year, he released his fifth studio album Everything I Love in July of this year. Jason Blaine is nominated for Songwriter of the Year in 2013 along with collaborator Deric Ruttan for their writing of the hit single ‘Cool’.

CCMA Award-winner Chad Brownlee returns to the 2013 CCMA Awards Broadcast on the heels of his roaring performance in 2012. The British Columbia native is nominated for Male Artist of the Year in 2013, riding high on the success of his second studio album Love Me Or Leave Me. Since launching his country music career in 2010, Brownlee — former professional hockey player — has earned seven Top 10 singles and a 2013 JUNO nomination in addition to his CCMA Rising Star Award win in 2011.

Alberta’s own Brett Kissel holds the distinction of being the youngest-ever artist nominated for a CCMA Award, when he received his first CCMA Rising Star Award nomination in 2006 at just 15 years old. Since signing with Warner Music Canada earlier this year, accolade for Kissel’s music has steadily grown. His major label debut single ‘Started With A Song’ set a record for becoming the most added track at Canadian country radio in its first week.

Small Town Pistols heads to Edmonton with two 2013 CCMA Award nominations – for Album of the Year and Group Or Duo of the Year. After releasing a debut single in the spring of 2012 followed by a self-titled album in 2013, the band’s hit single “Living on the Outside” broke into the Canadian Hot 100 Chart, earning the duo of Amanda and Tyler Wilkinson mass acclaim. These siblings are no strangers to the CCMA Awards Broadcast, however. As members of The Wilkinsons they won nine CCMA Awards, along with one JUNO Award and two Grammy Award nominations.

Tickets for the CCMA Awards Broadcast are available at all Ticketmaster locations, by phone at 1-855-985-5000 or online at ticketmaster.ca. Ticket prices range from $34 – $90.25, plus service charges.
