For the first time last Thursday, Apple streamed Justin Timberlake’s new album The 20/20 Experience 2 Of 2 via iTunes Radio – rather than direct from the singer’s iTunes Store page (as was done with part one of the album earlier this year).
The move, says Cue, “is a huge improvement,” as listeners can discover the music “without having to think about it.”
“Hopefully lots of people will be listening to iTunes Radio a lot,” he explained. “From a discovery perspective it’s significantly better. I think when you go to a store and you go to the Justin Timberlake page and stream it from there, that’s great but that means you went to the store. iTunes Radio lets you discover it without you having to think about it.”
