Star Wars: Episode VII Cast Revealed

Rumors about the Star Wars: Episode VII have been flying for months, but today the cast has finally been revealed.

Some of the original actors like Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker will star in the latest Star Wars installment. John Boyega (Imperial Dreams), Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver (Girls, Inside Llewyn Davis), Oscar Isaac (Inside Llewyn Davis), Andy Serkis (The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey), Domhnall Gleeson (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows) and Max von Sydow (Shutter Island) will also join the Star Wars saga.

J.J. Abrams (Super 8) will direct the film. “We start shooting in a couple of weeks, and everyone is doing their best to make the fans proud.”

The screenplay was developed by Abrams with Lawrence Kasdan, who wrote Episodes V and VI. Kathleen Kennedy and Bryan Burk are producing alongside Abrams, and John Williams will return as the composer.

Star Wars: Episode VII will bow into theaters on Dec. 18, 2015.
