‘Superman’s Girlfriend Lois Lane’ Comic Covers From 1950s

Created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, Lois Lane (full name: Lois Joanne Lane-Kent) debuted in Action Comics #1 in 1938. She’s a reporter for The Daily Planet in Metropolis and also a constant love interest for Superman aka Clark Kent. Her looks were inspired by a hired model named Joanne Carter, and her name was inspired B-actress Lola Lane. During the Silver Age of Comic Books, Lois was also the star of the series Superman’s Girlfriend Lois Lane.
