Canadian Music Week’s annual audio expo, the Radio Active Summit, is greeting the 2020’s with a boom. The revamped and rebooted Radio Active Summit at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel will feature two full days, May 20 – 21, dedicated to everything that reaches audiences ears via streaming, podcasting and broadcasting. It is a technological, sociological and business-oriented deep dive, featuring workshops, sessions and more celebrity and international speakers than ever before.
The 2020 Radio Active Summit keynote speakers will include Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and co-author of She Said: Breaking the Sexual Harassment Story That Helped Ignite a Movement Megan Twohey, Australian futurist, speaker, creative director, and “Digital Prophet” David Shingy, and America’s leading expert on GenY and Z consumers Matt Britton.
Neill Dixon, President and Founder of Canadian Music Week, says: “In association with Canada’s radio broadcasters, I’m pleased that we’ve retained the services of respected Canadian broadcast executive Ross Davies to help take our Radio Active conference to the next level. We are very excited about the plans already in place for next May.”
Ross Davies adds: “This year we will double the number of sessions by creating two side by side tracks, one dealing with the operations, research and product side of the business, and the other touching on the more strategic, future facing issues of our industry. There will be something there for everyone.”
Global experts from programming, branding, revenue, over-the-air, digital, social media, tech and regulatory will attend the Radio Active Summit to discuss and determine the past, present and future of these industries.
