Live Music Rounds Out the Summer at the Senator Restaurant with Weekly Balcony Concert Series

The historic and incomparable Senator Restaurant, long associated with live music, continues its successful new LIVE concert series for the remainder of summer: the ‘Senator Serenade from the Balcony’ — every Friday this August!

The Victoria Street mainstay has taken musical matters into their own hands, transforming their balcony into a well-spaced stage 25 feet off the ground to ‘Serenade’ patrons and passers by alike every week from 4:00 – 6:00 pm.

“It’s a Senator Serenade from the Balcony,” Senator Restaurant operations manager Sybil Walker enthuses of creative and safe workaround to satisfy Toronto live music lovers in the time of COVID-19. “In the spirit of making lemonade out of lemons, we are hoping to raise our community’s spirit with this balcony concert series.”

And speaking of lemonade, limeade, orangeade — PLUS a newly minted margarita menu… A freshly prepped and squeezed selection of the restaurant’s summertime specialties will be on sale at street level by Senator staff, as well as pastries, sweets, coffee, tea, and more.

Located directly behind Yonge-Dundas Square, the outdoor endeavours will continue throughout the summer. Audiences at home can tune into the livestream via the Senator’s Facebook page, and have the opportunity to tip performers virtually.
