RÜFÜS DU SOL Announce ‘Inhale / Exhale Remixed’ Album Ahead of Massive 2024-2025 World Tour

0

Today Grammy-winning live electronic trio RÜFÜS DU SOL announce Inhale / Exhale Remixed, the official remix package for their acclaimed album Inhale / Exhale, set to arrive on May 2. Offering a glimpse into the upcoming 15-track remix collection, Adriatique’s remix of “In the Moment” is out now via Rose Avenue/Reprise Records. Listen HERE and pre-order Inhale / Exhale Remixed HERE.

A celebration of their deep-rooted connection to clubland and undeniable influence in the electronic space, Inhale / Exhale Remixed further expands on the band’s legacy as both creators and tastemakers. Curated by the trio, Inhale / Exhale Remixed will feature Turkish-Italian underground favorite Carlita, Haitian house producer Francis Mercier, Peruvian DJ Sofia Kourtesis, Swiss heavyhitter Andrea Oliva, German deep house artist Emanuel Satie, melodic innovator Enamour, Afro-tech powerhouse Nitefreak, and more alongside Adriatique’s “In The Moment” remix.

Leading Inhale / Exhale Remixed, Adriatique envelope “In the Moment” in their signature sound, lifting RÜFÜS’ soft original with ethereal synthwork and driving basslines to cadence the energy of the dancefloor. RÜFÜS and Adriatique have a collaborative history, starting when the Swiss duo’s remix of “On My Knees” launched the band’s Surrender (Remixes) in 2022. The following year, RÜFÜS offered their take on Adriatique and WhoMadeWho’s Rose Avenue-released single “Miracle”. The “In The Moment” remix sees the pairing come full circle with a rework that embodies the after-hours pulse of Inhale / Exhale Remixed.

Since the release of their widely celebrated fifth studio album last October, RÜFÜS DU SOL have cemented their status as one of the most successful live electronic acts in the world. They’ve broken personal records, like debuting on the Billboard 200 chart and earning their first No.1 on dance radio with “Music is Better”. Their ongoing Inhale / Exhale World Tour is the biggest-selling single artist electronic music tour of all time, a new milestone for the band.

The tour kicked off last month in South America with headline stops and performances at Lollapalooza Argentina, Brazil, and Chile. Adriatique’s “In the Moment” remix arrives just in time for the North American leg of the tour, which will start with a trio of sold out shows in Texas. The tour will continue into the summer for a nearly sold out run with stops in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami, and Toronto, along with festival appearances at Lollapalooza and Up In The Sky.

Stream Adriatique’s “In The Moment” remix available now on all platforms and pre-order Inhale / Exhale Remixed.

RÜFÜS DU SOL are the Grammy-winning live electronic trio formed in Sydney Australia, composed of Jon George, James Hunt, and Tyrone Lindqvist, who are now one of the genre’s most highly regarded studio and touring acts. Known for creating emotive electronic music built for the dancefloor, RÜFÜS have released four studio albums, including their most recent full length effort Surrender, which saw them tour across 60 cities, selling 700,000 tickets globally. RÜFÜS’ Jon George and James Hunt have also fostered a DJ project for the project, which triumphs as one of the most popular in the space. The band have translated this success into their own Rose Avenue imprint and boutique Sundream festival in Tulum and Baja, Mexico.

Adriatique – aka Adrian Shala and Adrian Schweizer, have been making waves in electronic music for nearly 15 years, crafting a signature sound and pushing creative boundaries. Their label, Siamese which launched in 2016, has become a trusted space for fresh talent and forward-thinking music. With X, they have built more than just a brand: it’s a platform for music, events, and art that brings their vision to life. Between Siamese, X, and their unforgettable sets, Adriatique keep redefining and elevating the global electronic scene.

Counting Crows Release “Under The Aurora” Ahead of ‘Butter Miracle, The Complete Sweets!’ Album and Tour

0

Today, multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated rock band Counting Crows release their newest single, ‘Under The Aurora’, the latest offering from their highly anticipated new album Butter Miracle, The Complete Sweets!, out May 9 via BMG.

Following the emotional depth of first single ‘Spaceman In Tulsa’, ‘Under The Aurora’ continues the band’s rich legacy of sweeping soundscapes and storytelling. The song captures a moment of solitude and reflection beneath nature’s most mysterious light show — a haunting yet hopeful meditation on escape, longing, and the wonder of the world above us.

Produced with the band’s signature blend of folk-infused instrumentation and lush, layered melodies, ‘Under The Aurora’ delivers a cinematic experience that underscores Butter Miracle, The Complete Sweets! as a full-circle evolution of the band’s sound. This marks their first full-length album since 2021’s Butter Miracle: Suite One and their first collection of new songs in nearly five years.

The new track arrives as the band prepares to embark on The Complete Sweets! Tour, which kicks off June 10 in Nashville, TN, and will take Counting Crows across North America, the UK and Europe. The band will tour the UK in October and finish with a headline show at Wembley Arena on November 1st. Tickets are available now at CountingCrows.com.

Kadavar Shares Powerful New Single “Regeneration” Ahead of ‘I Just Want To Be A Sound’ Album

0

Berlin-based rock band Kadavar has released the third single “Regeneration” from their upcoming album, “I Just Want To Be A Sound”, out May 16 via Clouds Hill. The new single, along with the music video, follows the release of “Hysteria” and the album’s title track.

“This song celebrates change and new beginnings,” says guitarist Jascha Kreft. “When I joined the band, I had nothing but respect for how eager they were to push their vision forward rather than simply replicating their past work. It feels like we’re just getting started, and I can’t wait to see where we’re headed next.”

“Regeneration” is a powerful indicator of Kadavar’s evolving sound on their upcoming album. The band has undergone a significant transformation, embracing a bold new sonic direction. Over the past 15 years, Kadavar has morphed from retro-psychedelic stoner rockers into boundary-pushing sonic explorers, consistently defying expectations. Their latest shift—marked by a stripped-down, raw intensity—sees them shedding the past and embracing the unknown. With their signature blend of chaos and beauty, the new sound transcends genre and speaks directly to the core of the human experience.

“I Just Want To Be A Sound” is a manifesto for freedom, transformation, and radical presence—an album that repeatedly reinvents itself. Rock anthems, ballads, pop songs, and epic soundscapes alternate seamlessly and virtuously, creating a record that feels both free and full of momentum.

The tracks have already gained significant traction, landing on top playlists across Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, and TIDAL. It’s been featured on Metal Injection’s Top Tracks of the Week, Fresh Noise, New in Rock, Hot New Rock, and more.

“I Just Want To Be A Sound” is more than a song to us—it’s the essence of Kadavar: a relentless yearning for freedom and the unshakable urge to live through music. We poured everything into it—our lives, our spirit, our truth,” the band shares in a joint statement.

Now a four-piece led by founders Lupus Lindemann and Tiger Bartelt, joined by guitarist Jascha Kreft and bassist Simon ‘Dragon’ Bouteloup, Kadavar’s declaration “I Just Want To Be A Sound” was inspired by a conversation in 2013. When Lindemann and Bartelt asked Bouteloup why he didn’t have any social media accounts, he simply replied: “I just want to be a sound.” The phrase stuck—and over the band’s 15-year journey, it has become a guiding principle: to be completely absorbed in their music, free from distraction or compromise.

From their early days as credible purveyors of retro-psychedelic stoner rock—embodying the contemporary coolness of Berlin’s hedonistic scene—to becoming globe-trotting sonic adventurers, Kadavar’s evolution has been driven by relentless creativity. With extensive touring and genre-defying performances, their music has become increasingly contemporary, shaped by the experience of the road and their ever-expanding creative vision.

Kadavar also recently announced a string of special album release shows:

  • 13/05 Londra (UK) – Rough Trade East // TICKETS
  • 14/05 Parigi (FR) – Supersonic // TICKETS
  • 15/05 Berlino (DE) – Urban Spree, presented by Rough Trade Europe // TICKETS

Nick Lowe & Los Straitjackets Announce Summer 2025 Tour Dates

0

Nick Lowe and Los Straitjackets have announced their latest run of US tour dates, bringing songs from their acclaimed new album Indoor Safari -“a masterclass in simple elegance and timeless tunes” (Salon) – to Summer stages in July and August.

The dates follow a sold-out West Coast run earlier this year, which saw Lowe and the Straitjackets playing multiple nights at LA’s Troubadour, Seattle’s Tractor Tavern, and more. Reviewing opening night at the Troubadour, Music Connection reported that Lowe & Co. delivered a “stunning set” to a “sardine-can packed room.”

For a preview of the upcoming dates, Yep Roc will release a new Nick Lowe live album (Not) Indoor Safari Vol. 1 for Record Store Day 2025. Recorded across a series of shows in 2024, pressed on classic black vinyl and limited to 3,000 copies worldwide, the album features brand new versions of all-time Lowes such as “(What’s So Funny ‘Bout) Peace, Love and Understanding” and “When I Write the Book,” acclaimed later-period compositions like “Lately I’ve Let Things Slide,” and Indoor Safari standouts “Love Starvation” and “Blue on Blue.”

Released by Yep Roc Records last Fall, Indoor Safari marks Lowe’s first studio LP release in over a decade and his first-ever long player with backing from the Straitjackets. Hailed as “effortlessly cool” (Paste) and “a match made in heaven” (Forbes), Indoor Safari includes brand-new Nick Lowe originals, deep-cut rarities, and refitted versions of songs previously released in nascent form as singles. Produced by Lowe, Indoor Safari was recorded in various locations and mixed by Alex Hall (JD McPherson, Cactus Blossoms) alongside Lowe at Reliable Recorders in Chicago. The album represents a culmination of Lowe’s decade-long working relationship with Los Straitjackets: Eddie Angel/guitar, Pete Curry/bass, Chris Sprague/drums, and Greg Townson/guitar.

Metallica Teams Up with American Red Cross for 2025 Blood Drive Tour Across U.S.

0

Live music and giving back – two incredible experiences that will go hand-in-hand this spring and summer, thanks to a new collaboration between Metallica and the American Red Cross. Metallica and its foundation, All Within My Hands (AWMH), urges fans to give blood at select tour locations across the U.S. to help ensure hospital patients never have to wait for critical, lifesaving care.

All Within My Hands takes advantage of opportunities on the road to contribute to each community the tour visits. As seasons change, the need for blood is constant and even tends to ramp up around summer holidays. Donors will have the chance to keep hospital shelves stocked across the country by giving blood at the following tour stops, with several drives happening inside concert venues while the M72 crew builds the stage:

Metallica x Red Cross Blood Drive Dates:
04/14-18/25 – Liverpool, NY
04/29/25 – Nashville, TN
05/06/25 – Blacksburg, VA
05/01,02,06/25 – Columbus, OH
05/20/25 – Philadelphia, PA
05/27/25 – Arlington, VA
05/30/25 – Charlotte, NC
05/30/25 – Atlanta, GA
06/10,13/25 – Houston, TX
06/18/25 – Santa Clara, CA
06/23,24/25 – Denver, CO

All who come to give blood at these drives will get a limited-edition T-shirt, while supplies last. By rolling up a sleeve to give, the Metallica family can help trauma victims, those facing cancer, new mothers, people living with sickle cell disease and so many more.

“The Red Cross is incredibly appreciative that Metallica is helping fuel the blood supply this summer,” said Darren Irby, executive director of national partnerships for Red Cross Biomedical Services. “The band and their foundation are committed to making every tour stop a better place, and this selfless act of rallying fans to donate blood will leave a lifesaving legacy to so many communities.”

Donors of all blood types are needed now. To make an appointment to give blood, visit RedCrossBlood.org/Metallica. Individuals who are 17 years of age in most states (16 with parental consent where allowed by state law), weigh at least 110 pounds, and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. For additional information and eligibility requirements, visit RedCrossBlood.org.

Goodbye to the Ace of Bass: Remembering Dave Allen of Gang of Four

0

The bass barked, grooved, and cut through the noise in the band Gang of Four. And at the centre of that rhythm stood Dave Allen, the “Ace of Bass” whose playing helped define post-punk as we know it. He was the movement. Dave Allen, who passed away at 69 after living with early-onset dementia, was a giant with a groove. His influence ran deep, even when his name stayed quiet. Today and for a long time, he’ll be remembered not just through his iconic basslines, but through the lesser-known stories that made him legendary.

1. He once planned a 20-album release series.
Allen was famously ambitious. After launching World Domination Recordings, I had several dealings with him while we distributed the label at KOCH. At the time, I was both an admirer and slightly intimidated—his legendary status was palpable, and you could feel it in the air whenever he visited the office. He began work on an ambitious 20-volume music series—but only three were ever released. He said the rest would arrive “eventually,” and even unfinished, the idea itself reflects a mind always bursting with vision.

2. He never liked being called “cool.”
Despite shaping one of the most influential bands in alternative music, Allen disliked being thought of as “cool.” In interviews, he’d often downplay his status, redirecting praise to the creative chemistry of Gang of Four or the raw energy of the audiences. For him, music was about movement—not image.

3. He had a soft spot for education.
Later in life, Allen lectured and blogged about digital strategy and music tech, becoming an informal educator to artists navigating a changing industry. He believed musicians should own their voices and data, years before it became a common conversation. His intellect was as sharp as his basslines.

4. He was a fan of punk, funk… and Prince.
While known for his post-punk pedigree, Allen was a massive Prince fan and often spoke of the power of groove and melody. His bass playing echoed that love of syncopation—marrying the cerebral with the danceable, the angry with the joyful. “Make them think, then make them dance,” he’d say.

5. He created a supergroup most people never heard of.
In 2006, Allen quietly formed Faux Hoax with Danny Seim (Menomena), John Askew, and author Adam Gnade. Their only release was a 7-inch single—but for those who heard it, it was pure Dave Allen: experimental, raw, surprising, and totally sincere.

Dave Allen’s passing is a blow to anyone who ever found joy in the off-kilter rhythms and confrontational art of Gang of Four. But beyond the stage, he was an educator, innovator, and endlessly curious human being. He played the bass with purpose, a voice, a backbone. Rest easy, Ace of Bass. We’ll be dancing in your memory for a long, long time.

Gondola Shelving: The Backbone of Australian Retail

0

By Mitch Rice

Walk into nearly any store across Australia—supermarkets, chemists, convenience shops—and you’ll likely see gondola shelving and other shop fittings doing the heavy lifting. These metal fixtures line aisles, frame checkouts, and support strategic product placement from floor to eye level.

They’re a staple in retail fit-outs for good reason. Flexible, sturdy, and functional, gondola shelving allows retailers to present products in a clean and organised way, while also making use of vertical and horizontal space. In high-traffic environments, the right shelving setup can quietly drive sales, influence customer flow, and improve overall store operations.

Retailers don’t choose gondola shelving for aesthetics. They choose it because it works.

What is Gondola Shelving?

Gondola shelving refers to a freestanding shelving unit, typically constructed from powder-coated steel and engineered for modular setup. It’s widely adopted across Australia for its mix of form and utility.

Feature Description
Freestanding Design No wall mounting required – can stand independently in any shop layout
Double-Sided Option Ideal for centre aisles and back-to-back displays
Adjustable Shelves Shelf heights can be repositioned to suit changing stock requirements
Metal Frame Built from durable materials to handle high weight loads
Custom Add-ons Baskets, end bays, signage, and pegboard options expand functionality

The modularity of gondola shelving makes it ideal for seasonal layouts, mid-aisle promotions, or even full-store redesigns. Supermarkets, chemists, hardware shops, and pet stores all rely on these shelving systems for their day-to-day merchandising.

Why Retailers Favour Gondola Shelving

Every inch counts in retail. That’s where gondola shelving provides real value—not just as storage, but as a tool for store optimisation.

Some of the biggest advantages include:

Space Efficiency

Units are designed to maximise both vertical and horizontal retail space. A single bay can display dozens of SKUS without clutter.

Customer Navigation

Strategic aisle planning becomes easier. Shelving placement can guide shoppers intuitively through a store, encouraging exposure to more products.

Visual Merchandising

Brands benefit from uniform product presentation, consistent facings, and adjustable heights for varied packaging.

Versatile Use Cases

From end caps to standalone centre aisles, gondola shelving works in multiple configurations. It’s commonly used in:

  • Supermarkets
  • Liquor stores
  • Discount retailers
  • Health and beauty chains
  • Hardware outlets

Seasonal Flexibility

Promotions change. So does the layout. Adjustable shelves and accessories make it simple to rotate themes, highlight new lines, or support supplier-led campaigns.

Gondola shelving does more than hold products. It supports sales strategies without needing constant attention or technical expertise to manage.

Why Australian Retailers Choose Mills Shelving

Mills Shelving has become a trusted gondola shelving supplier in Australia. With over 60 years in the industry, the company has worked closely with retailers to deliver shelving systems that match real-world requirements.

What sets them apart isn’t just product quality — it’s consistency in service. From independent shop owners to national franchises, Mills Shelving supports a wide range of industries with:

  • Tailored Fit-Outs: Every store is different. Mills provides flexible sizing, weight ratings, colours, and accessories to meet specific merchandising goals.
  • Quick Turnaround: With Australia-wide supply capabilities, delivery is prompt and reliable. Even regional areas can count on timely service.
  • Durability Tested: All shelving is built with high-grade steel and finished for long-term resilience in retail environments that demand reliability.
  • Industry Examples: Their systems have been installed in convenience stores, discount chains, pharmacy groups, and hardware retailers. Case studies show performance in diverse store formats, from compact shops to large-format retail.

It’s not just a product drop-off. Mills supports retailers from consultation through to implementation, ensuring shelving integrates with store layout and merchandising strategy.

What to Consider When Selecting Gondola Shelving

Choosing shelving isn’t only about appearance or price. Several key factors influence long-term usability:

  1. Material Strength and Load Capacity

Lightweight shelving won’t suit heavy goods. Mills’ gondola systems are engineered to hold substantial weight across each shelf without warping or risk.

  1. Shelf Adjustability and Modular Design

Shelves that adjust easily reduce set-up times and allow for quick layout changes across promotions or restocks.

  1. Supplier Track Record

A proven supplier reduces risk. Working with an experienced provider like Mills Shelving means access to better advice, consistent inventory, and follow-up support.

  1. Finish and Colour Options

Matching store aesthetics matters too. Powder-coated options in various colours help create a cohesive retail feel.

Final Thoughts

WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) is the largest organization in the world for professional wrestling events. Founded in 1952, it has become a leader in the field of sports entertainment. Unlike traditional sports competitions, WWE is not just a contest, but a meticulously planned spectacle that combines elements of wrestling and drama. The shows feature acrobatic stunts, theatrical elements, and gripping plot twists, making each match unique and spectacular. For wrestling fans, the platform Parimatch offers exciting opportunities for wwe betting, allowing viewers not only to enjoy the show but also actively participate in predicting the outcomes of events.

History of WWE: From Beginnings to Present

WWE began its journey in the 1950s under the name Capitol Wrestling Corporation and gradually grew into an international organization. One of the most significant events is WrestleMania, a true spectacle that has become the culmination of the entire wrestling season. Thanks to stars like Hulk Hogan, Rocky Maivia (Dwayne Johnson), Steve Austin, and Triple H, WWE transformed into a global brand that has shaped its culture and attracted millions of viewers.

Key WWE Characters

The popularity of WWE is driven not only by spectacular fights but also by the vibrant and charismatic characters that create unique personas, becoming part of pop culture. Some of the most famous wrestlers include:

  • Hulk Hogan: A legend of the 1980s and 1990s.
  • Steve Austin (Stone Cold Steve Austin): The symbol of the “Attitude Era,” known for his brutal nature and rebellious spirit.
  • Dwayne Johnson (The Rock): A legendary wrestler and successful actor.
  • Triple H: An important figure in WWE history, both a successful wrestler and manager.

WWE’s Cultural Impact

WWE has had a significant impact on pop culture. Wrestlers have become icons, and their personas are now part of mainstream culture. Inspiring viewers around the world, WWE has also actively supported the development of women’s wrestling through the Women’s Evolution initiative, which allowed women to occupy significant roles both in and outside the ring.

Modern WWE Trends

Interest in WWE continues to grow. The company is expanding its media platforms, allowing viewers to watch shows anytime through WWE Network and engage in discussions via social media. The NXT project provides young talents with the opportunity to shine, attracting even more viewers.

Betting on such events has become an important part of fandom, providing fans not only with the opportunity to enjoy the spectacle but also to predict the outcomes of matches, adding a new level of engagement and excitement.

Conclusion

WWE is not just a sport, but a whole industry that has become an integral part of global entertainment over the years. WWE combines sports, drama, and popular culture. The platform continues to evolve, expanding its audience and offering new ways to interact with fans. Being part of the global WWE phenomenon means not just watching the matches but also participating in bets on exciting matches, adding excitement and intrigue to every moment.

Featuring Martin admitting moviegoers will watch anything, it’s a chaotic, charming time capsule from 1979 that still hits today.
