2022 Emmy Nominations in Music Categories

The nominations for the prestigious Emmy Awards in Music Categories were just announced. Two of this year’s five outstanding original music and lyrics go to Zendaya and Labrinth, who each won Emmys two years ago for their work on HBO’s Euphoria. Zendaya and Labrinth co-wrote songs for the program.  They are recognised for writing “I’m Tired” with Sam Levinson and “Eliot’s Song” with Muzhda Zemar-McKenzie.

Zendaya is the favorite for winning outstanding lead actress in a drama series for her role in Euphoria

Zendaya solidified her Emmy record-breaking status as the youngest celebrity to receive two acting nominations after winning Best Lead Actress in a Drama Series in 2020. Given that she has amazed her fans with her outstanding performances over the last few years, fans are betting online for her next Emmy Award as she gets nominated once more this year.

As Rue’s path to recovery continues, Zendaya scores another significant victory. The actress’s sustained portrayal of Rue Bennett on HBO’s “Euphoria” earned her a nomination for best lead actress in a drama at the 2022 Emmy Awards, which was revealed on July 12. She will compete against Jodie Comer for “Killing Eve,” Laura Linney for “Ozark”, Melanie Lynskey for “Yellowjackets,” Sandra Oh for “Killing Eve,” and Reese Witherspoon for “The Morning Show” when the award is given on September 12.

Overall, “Euphoria” got 16 Emmy nominations this year, with Sydney Sweeney receiving one in the category of Supporting Actress in a Drama, Martha Kelly receiving one in the category of Guest Actress in a Drama, and Colman Domingo receiving one in the category of Guest Actor in a Drama. The movie received numerous nominations for its fantastic craft.

Conclusion

The Emmys are a great way to determine who is at the forefront of this field. Winning such an award is a heavy accolade and not given easily. With their mesmerizing performances and hard work, it is not surprising that such a prestigious award show has picked up Zendaya and Labrinth.
