Korea’s ‘Blue’s Clues’ Adaptation Riddle Blue Brought the Beloved Show to a New Audience

Due to the massive popularity of Nickelodeon’s Blue’s Clues in the U.S., South Korea produced its own adaptation in 2000, titled 수수께끼 블루 (Riddle Blue), also sometimes translated as Mystery Blue. Airing on KBS2, the Korean version replaced Steve with an “Uncle” character, played by comedian HyunShup Shin, bringing the interactive learning format to a whole new audience.
