Featuring multi-Grammy winning artist Eminem as well as fellow Atlanta superstars Lil Yachty and 6lack, the Preluxe primes the stage for J.I.D to continue his streak as one of rap’s most versatile pens. The new releases also come on the back of his stellar contribution to Offset’s new single, “Bodies,” track which debuted on Billboard Top 100 charts at #72. His verse was even selected by Complex as one of the year’s best rap verses of the year — maintaining his consistency as one of music’s favourite (and chart setting) features.

The EP saw him collaborating with hip-hop duo EARTHGANG, whom he’d previously joined on a 2014 tour. Spotted here by J. Cole, J.I.D was promptly signed to Dreamville/Interscope Records. Soon after the signing, J.I.D made his major-label debut with the widely celebrated The Never Story (2017) which was quickly followed by the critically acclaimed album DiCaprio 2 (2018).
