In February 1982, the J. Geils Band appeared on the Joe Franklin Show at the peak of their fame. Fresh off the massive success of “Centerfold,” the band brought their signature mix of blues-rock energy and showmanship to the small screen. It’s a rare, off-the-cuff performance that captures the band in their prime.
