The Baseball Project and The Minus 5 confirmed a Summer Doubleheader Tour 2025 this September celebrating the 10th anniversary of the release of their 2015 Redeyed in Austin (Yep Roc) co-release, just as the national pastime pennant race s heat up.

Scott, Peter and Linda play in several active bands together (The Minus 5, Filthy Friends, Luke Haines & Peter Buck to name a few). Mike is also in the Big Star band with Jody Stephens and Chris Stamey, while Steve has been focused on touring the release of his recent memoir across Europe and the U.S.

Formed in 2007, The Baseball Project has released four albums, of songs inspired by and paying homage to the national pastime, as well as a collection of songs for ESPN.com in 2010 and an exclusive live split EP with The Minus 5 for Record Store Day in 2015. Be it songs about MLB legends like “The Babe,” humorous and heartfelt salutes to lesser-known players like “Pasqual on the Perimeter” about Brave Pasqual Perez getting lost on the way to a game or a song like “They Played Baseball” that rattles off a whole rogues gallery of major league stars with all-too-human foibles, there are no rules as to what constitutes a baseball song…or a great rock show. They just play high energy rock shows and make damn fine rock records which honor, skewer and wax nostalgic about the grand old game.
