To accompany the release, the British multi-instrumentalist unveils a new single, “rush,” offering a glimpse into the emotional depth and sonic richness of the upcoming project. spirit is cktrl’s first full-length album since 2022’s EP yield.
For his debut album, cktrl drew inspiration from a quote by bell hooks: “Healing is an act of communion.” This sentiment serves as a guide throughout the project, emphasizing that true recovery from pain is rooted in connection and community. “We are all we got,” mentions cktrl.
