Sting’s Isolated Vocals For The Police’s “Roxanne”

“Roxanne,” released by The Police in 1978, is one of the band’s signature songs, written by Sting about a man falling in love with a prostitute. Reissued in 1979, it climbed to #12 on the U.K. charts and later earned a place in Rolling Stone’s “500 Greatest Songs of All Time.” Its legacy grew as it opened the band’s 2007 Grammy performance and was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2008.
