Toronto’s own Lia Pappas-Kemps is opening another emotional chapter. Following the glowing reception of her heartfelt single “Reservations,” the rising singer-songwriter returns with “Revolving Doors” — an intimate, cinematic folk-pop journey out October 24 via Coalition Music Records. With her unmistakable blend of vulnerability and atmosphere, Lia continues to carve a space where quiet introspection meets widescreen beauty.
“‘Revolving Doors’ is a song I wrote about feeling your patterns change while falling in love with someone new,” Lia shares. “I wrote it by myself with just an acoustic guitar, and then decided to get my friend Ray Goudy to add pedal steel during the recording process, which became such a pivotal part of the song.” The result is a warm, hypnotic swirl of acoustic tones and pedal steel shimmer — a song that captures both the thrill and disorientation of love’s endless motion.
Produced by longtime collaborator Elia Pappas at Taurus Studios and mixed by Howie Beck, “Revolving Doors” finds Lia joined by Goudy on pedal steel and Pappas on guitar and bass. It’s the latest glimpse into her forthcoming 2026 album and a testament to her gift for crafting soundscapes that feel both timeless and modern. Fans of Phoebe Bridgers, boygenius, and Fleetwood Mac will feel right at home in her world of melodic melancholy and quiet courage.
With praise from Atwood Magazine, Exclaim!, Northern Transmissions, and The Toronto Star — which hailed her as “Toronto’s next breakout songwriter” — Lia Pappas-Kemps is proving that her rise is no fluke. Songs like “Jinx,” “Sad in Toronto,” and now “Revolving Doors” showcase an artist who writes from the heart, unafraid to let every chord and lyric reveal the beauty in change.
