That summer feeling hits different when it’s Benny season. The Buffalo rap heavyweight has returned in full Summertime Butch mode with his new project Summertime Butch 2, out now on all streaming platforms. Released on “716 Day,” the album finds Benny The Butcher sharpening his flow and flexing his storytelling prowess over production steeped in grime, grit, and summertime heat.
To mark the release, Benny dropped the official video for “Jasmine’s,” a reunion with his Griselda brother Westside Gunn. Produced by longtime collaborator Daringer, the track is vintage Griselda — cinematic, layered, and ruthless — reminding fans why the collective remains a cornerstone of modern hip-hop.
Summertime Butch 2 is packed with heavy-hitting features and world-class production, including contributions from Bun B, Mike Will Made It, G Herbo, Bruiser Wolf, Daringer, Bink, OT The Real, ElCamino, and Duckman. The record captures everything that defines Benny’s signature sound — sharp bars, real stories, and that undeniable hustler’s glow.
Rain, sleet, hail, or snow, Benny’s always servin’, but when Summertime Butch rolls around, there’s a special energy that hits the pavement. This latest installment finds Benny at his most confident and reflective — a celebration of growth, legacy, and Buffalo pride.
