Beloved Japanese indie pop trio Lamp are set to enchant audiences across North and South America with their newly announced Future Behind Me – The Americas World Tour. The run follows the group’s sold-out Future Behind Me North American debut tour and their acclaimed 2023 album Dusk to Dawn, which solidified their global reputation as one of Japan’s most mesmerizing and genre-defying acts.
Formed in 2000 by Yusuke Nagai, Kaori Sakakibara, and Taiyo Someya, Lamp have long defied musical boundaries. Their sound blends the sun-soaked sophistication of Brazilian MPB, the smooth nostalgia of ‘70s AOR and soft rock, and the melancholic beauty of classic Japanese pop. The result is a lush, cinematic style that feels both timeless and transportive—dreamy, refined, and deeply emotional.
Across their nine studio albums, beginning with Soyokaze Apartment 201 (2003) and culminating in Dusk to Dawn (2023), Lamp have built a devoted international following. Their live shows mirror their music’s warmth and sophistication, inviting fans into a space where soft melodies and rich harmonies swirl together like fading sunlight on a quiet afternoon.
Having captivated audiences across Japan, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea, and Indonesia, the trio now turn their gaze westward for their most ambitious tour yet. Future Behind Me – The Americas World Tour promises to be a spellbinding journey through the band’s ever-evolving musical world, bringing their ethereal sound to major cities across the continent.
