Jimmy Eat World have announced the release of their new project, ‘The Something(s) Loud EP,’ arriving Friday, November 14, 2025, via their own Exotic Location Recordings. Available on standard vinyl and in limited signed editions through the band’s webstore, the EP collects fan-favorite singles alongside rare material and a previously unreleased song. The record marks the vinyl debut of “Something Loud,” “Place Your Debts,” and their Crooked Fingers cover “Call to Love” featuring Bethany Cosentino, as well as new versions of both singles and a long-lost track titled “Failure.”
Originally recorded in 2019 during the Surviving sessions, “Failure” was co-produced by the band and Justin Meldal-Johnsen and engineered by Failure frontman Ken Andrews. Reflecting on the collection, Jim Adkins shared, “Coming out of the pandemic, it didn’t feel right to tour without offering something more, so we took the chance to share a few more tracks we’d been working on.” Other highlights include “Something Loud,” a classic guitar-driven anthem with soaring emotion, and “Place Your Debts,” co-written with Clark Baechle and Denver Dalley, featuring reflective lyrics layered over atmospheric textures. The art for ‘The Something(s) Loud EP’ was designed by Nick Steinhardt, who also created the packaging for the band’s 2019 album Surviving.
