Ona Mafalda is entering a new era with her bold, bilingual album ‘Reset,’ a record born from transformation, courage, and creative renewal. Blending the electric charge of indie-rock with the shimmer of pop, she crafts a sound that moves fluidly between Spain and the United Kingdom, singing in both English and Spanish. Having opened for Coldplay on their Music of the Spheres tour and performed at major festivals like Primavera Sound and The Great Escape, Ona is now set to headline The Victoria Dalston in London on November 19.
‘Reset’ channels the energy of artists such as The Strokes, Florence and the Machine, and PJ Harvey while maintaining Ona’s distinctive voice — one that’s equally fierce and vulnerable. Recorded in London with Mac Wetha, Dan Holloway, Sour Sync, and Khotton, the album thrives on raw guitars and lyrics about finding strength through reinvention. It features new tracks ‘Harta,’ ‘Broken Games,’ and ‘Running,’ each revealing a different side of Ona’s artistry. “Harta is my way of releasing everything I’ve been holding in,” she says. “It’s about letting go of noise, drama, and expectations, and taking your power back.” On ‘Broken Games,’ she embraces lighthearted freedom: “It’s flirty, mischievous, and reminds women they can own their desires without apology.”
