The duo revealed the emotional hit was born from a real-life moment of heartbreak and reconciliation. “It actually is about something that really happened,” Bailey explained. “You know, that we had an emotional closeness. We had a falling out and then we made up again. We became friends again and the song arose immediately in the slipstream of that event.”
