After building major buzz as one of 2025’s most exciting indie pop newcomers, Los Angeles-based duo The Two Lips (formerly The Tulips) return with their new single “clue,” out now via Island Records. Following their debut track “talk,” the song showcases Andrea and Jewlz’s emotionally rich songwriting and their signature blend of dreamy vocals and heartfelt storytelling. “‘clue’ is a song about the feeling when you have exhausted all options trying to save a relationship and you feel like you’ve reached a dead end,” they share. “Both parties can’t seem to figure each other out, and you reminisce on good times before things went sour. Still, there’s hope that the ‘case’ can be cracked and the relationship is worth saving.”
The Two Lips’ creative partnership continues to evolve with sincerity and connection at its core. The new release follows their 2024 viral hit “still love you (todavía),” which cemented them as a duo defined by vulnerability and vision. “A lot of our music is our therapy and things we talk about with each other,” they explain. “I feel like that’s why you really see our friendship through our music.”
