Adorn Your Table for Thanksgiving

By Mitch Rice

There is something special about decorating the Thanksgiving table! It feels like the fest is a warm rehearsal before Santa Clause comes to town, don’t you think? This cozy prelude is also filled with family, yummy meals, and festive spirit, setting the stage for the most wonderful time of the year.

The good news is that you can work on your table setting to make sure it reflects your personal style and special attitude for the day of gratitude. Adding elements like 3d wood wall art, wall-mounted lanterns, and macramé wall hangings will set the right scene.

We also hope the ideas below will help turn your festive dinner into a Thanksgiving haven.

Make Every Place Personal

After all, the Feast of Gratitude is filled with a warm feeling of home and family. Make it even warmer! Include a short handwritten note of gratitude or write down a sweet or fun fact about this or that guest. Thus, your invitees will easily find their spots at the holiday table and have something to discuss. Don’t forget to tie a small sprig of thyme, rosemary, or a mini pinecone to every napkin. Ah, the fragrance of herbs…priceless!

Add a Touch of Gold

After all, that’s what the fall season is all about! Give your festive décor an upgrade with accessories like vintage candlesticks, brass cutlery, and other accessories that are gold-tinged. Get a pack of mini pumpkins and spray paint them in metallic gold. Now, place them along the center of your table to create a natural table runner with a glam twist.

Let More Nature in

Pumpkins are great, but nature has more to give! When it comes to gorgeous and inexpensive decorations, fall foliage wins our hearts. Scatter acorns, colorful leaves, or small branches across the table. This earthy touch reminds us of how important it is to stop for a moment and be grateful for who and where we are.

Think pinecones. A simple yet elegant extra something that can be painted or left natural. Place them in a wooden tray or glass vase. This will make the table welcoming the season of thanks even more festive.

Let Kids Know Where Their Spots Are

You have to take care of every guest, including the munchkins. Why not make kids’ table colorful and bright? Here’s our recommendation: cover it with white paper, add a pack of crayons, and let every little artist create their own masterpieces. Thus, they’ll decorate their places themselves. All you can do is add some pinecones, an orange table runner, and cute petit pumpkins for the festive ambiance.

Let Candles Do the Job

No other décor can add such a cozy and intimate glow to the Thanksgiving feast as candles do. Use them of different heights in groups to create dimension. For the Turkey Day, consider different holder styles, including mercury glass votives, rustic lanterns, or elegant candelabras, based on your taste and style.

Happy Thanksgiving!
