Joel Hoekstra’s 13 releases ‘From The Fade’ on February 27, 2026 via Frontiers Music Srl with first single The Fall available now featuring an official visualizer. The Whitesnake and Trans-Siberian Orchestra guitarist built the songs from riffs written during his time filling in with Accept, giving the album a heavier edge while maintaining melodic hard rock territory. Hoekstra says The Fall draws from early influences Queensryche and Dokken with a powerful foundation from drummer Vinny Appice (Black Sabbath, Dio) and bassist Tony Franklin (The Firm, Blue Murder), plus a killer keyboard solo from Derek Sherinian (Dream Theater, Sons of Apollo) and stunning vocals from Girish Pradhan (Girish and The Chronicles) backed by Jeff Scott Soto. The guitarist emphasizes his focus on songs rather than self-indulgent solos, writing the style of music that inspired him to pick up guitar in the first place.
