Tyketto Roar Back With ‘Closer To The Sun’ Album And 2026 Tour Plans

Hard rocking songsmiths Tyketto return with their sixth studio album, ‘Closer To The Sun’, set for release March 20 through Silver Lining Music. It will be available in deluxe limited edition 12-inch sunburst vinyl, red and black vinyl, CD digipak, digital formats, and exclusive direct-to-consumer bundles. The first single, “Higher Than High”, is accompanied by a music video directed and edited by Scott Wardell and filmed by Paul Hollingsworth at KK’s Steel Mill. It’s a rousing anthem packed with grit and hope, and frontman Danny Vaughn calls it “classic Tyketto,” urging listeners to “play me loudly and take me for a drive.”

Recorded at studios across the UK and Europe, including the legendary Rockfield Studios in Wales, ‘Closer To The Sun’ covers themes of love, loss, and resilience. With Vaughn on vocals, Harry Scott Elliott on guitar, Ged Rylands on keys, Thunder’s Chris Childs on bass, and Doro drummer Johnny Dee on drums, the band charges forward with swagger and emotional punch. From the anthemic title track to the raw stomp of “Hit Me Where It Hurts” and the emotional lift of “The Picture”, Tyketto deliver an album that sits confidently alongside the giants of hard rock.
