ParisPlayedYou is back on the scene with “Forever Pain,” showcasing a raw, grittier sound that channels the pain and growth of his lived experiences.
“’Forever Pain’ is about openly accepting growth from your hardships and suffering. It shows that through tough times, pain helps mould and shape you for the better,” says Paris. “The title is a meaningful statement on how you shouldn’t let go and bury pain but rather embrace and accept it.”
“Forever Pain” is co-produced by ParisPlayedYou with Mesio Music (Drake, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Toosii) and Akash Lakhani. Asserting his faith and trust in himself to succeed despite mounting challenges, Paris melodically flows with his heart on his sleeve, singing, “I feel like that pain gon’ age like wine, ‘cause over time it only gets better.”
“Forever Pain” introduces audiences to ParisPlayedYou’s new era – his first release since rebranding, debuting a bold new identity and sound that mark his evolution as an artist. Alongside the official release, ParisPlayedYou also shares his performance debut of the track for On the Radar.
Paris has turned heads and earned co-signs from Meek Mill, Fridayy, and more via his viral freestyles across social media. His take on Fridayy’s “Proud of Me” open verse challenge generated over 1M impressions and caught the attention of the GRAMMY Award-nominated singer himself, who commented “Cuz went crazy.”
Synergizing the R&B/Hip-Hop genre in his own charismatic way, ParisPlayedYou is constantly drawn to the impulse of trying something new. “I’m always ready to go, always ready to try new things, which can be a great tool but also have its repercussions,” he says on his quick-minded approach to music and life.
