Chicago and Styx are joining forces next year for a co-headline run, celebrating their shared origin city on ‘The Windy Cities Tour – All The Hits…Your Kind Of Tour’. It goes without saying that this Live Nation-sponsored tour will be a massive sing-along event every single night, and it’s actually the first time these two iconic bands have toured together. Chicago trumpeter Lee Loughnane is rightly excited, noting, “Chicago has never toured with Styx before so it’s going to be a lot of fun, we’re looking forward to it.” Styx guitarist and vocalist Tommy Shaw shared the thrill of it, thanking the mentors who gave him a shot in his early days, adding that the idea of Styx touring with Chicago is a major thrill all on its own.
Fans can expect to hear the biggest songs from both acts all summer long as these two legendary American pop/rock groups make their way across the continent. Chicago’s current lineup features original members Robert Lamm, Lee Loughnane, and James Pankow, alongside Ray Herrmann, Wally Reyes, Jr., Neil Donell, Ramon “Ray” Yslas, Tony Obrohta, and Eric Baines. This is truly a summer tour that music lovers will not want to miss.
