Def Comedy Jam Finds a New Home on REVOLT

REVOLT, the leading youth culture multimedia platform,  announced today that Def Comedy Jam, the series that reshaped stand-up culture, will air weeknights at 11 PM ET on the network. This marks the show’s official return to television and its new home dedicated to celebrating its full legacy.

Def Comedy Jam introduced the world to comedians who became cultural anchors—Bernie Mac, Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock, Kevin Hart, and many more. The series broke national ground by giving comedians an uncensored stage that reflected real life, real language, and real audiences. It wasn’t just entertainment; it was a cultural reference point people kept on their TVs every night. REVOLT now brings that experience back.

“Def Comedy Jam opened the door for so many of us, and forever changed the landscape of the genre. It gave Black comedians the space to tell our stories and jokes exactly the way we wanted,” said Cedric The Entertainer. “Seeing the show come back to life on REVOLT proves that the foundation we built is still inspiring audiences today.”

“Def Comedy Jam changed the game and proved how powerful our voices are when presented without filters,” said Deon Graham, Chief Content Officer at REVOLT. “Bringing it to REVOLT is about protecting the legacy, honoring the architects, and giving a new generation direct access to the truth and energy that shaped the culture. This is history presented with intention.”

With its arrival on REVOLT, Def Comedy Jam steps back into a space built for creators, storytelling, and cultural truth. The series brings its archive of landmark performances to a network rooted in the very communities that made the show a phenomenon.

Def Comedy Jam now airs weeknights on REVOLT, giving viewers a consistent lineup of the jokes, sets, and moments that still influence comedy. The punchlines, the energy, the breakout performances—they’re back on the screen where they belong.
