Following the success of her 2025 ‘Super Pedestrian’ album—which provided a welcome collection of charismatic, bittersweet pop-rock anthems—Annie DiRusso is now celebrating with the release of her first-ever Tiny Desk concert. DiRusso and her incredible band successfully replicated their notoriously killer stage show for the intimate setting, delivering a five-song pageant that included synchronized dance moves, clever costuming, and guitar riffs performed behind the back, all without sacrificing the closeness that defines the Tiny Desk experience. The only thing she modified was her signature stage patter, admitting that she had to ditch the bit where she tells the plot of School of Rock and introduces every band member as “Annie DiRusso” to avoid sounding like a jerk in the quiet setting. This vibrant and infectious performance is the perfect introduction to her music, promising a triumphant soundtrack for the summer of 2026.
