UK indie rock band Goo has just released their new single, “Payday,” the first track from their upcoming debut album, which is scheduled to arrive in Spring 2026. Recorded with producer Andy Hawkins at The Nave, a former chapel in Stanningley, the song is a sharp, immediate blast of energy that dives straight into the strain and absurdity of trying to keep up with modern life. “Payday” comes backed by two exclusive B-sides: “Desiderium,” the second song the band ever wrote, and a raw cover of the Buzzcocks’ classic “What Do I Get?,” mixed by James Bragg.

This release builds on significant rising momentum for the band, who have quickly gained traction with their fast, fuzzy, straight-to-the-point sound. Goo has already sold out their debut EP, Chomp, twice on vinyl, played festivals across the UK and France, and earned support from BBC Introducing and Radio One. Looking ahead, the band is expected to join Marmozets for a sold-out winter tour hitting major UK cities before launching their own UK and European dates in support of the new album next spring.
