The electronic music landscape is shifting once again as Steve Aoki and Kaaze join forces for their first collaborative project titled ‘Head Rush’. Released via Dim Mak Records, this EP serves as a high-octane reunion for the two producers who have spent years discussing a shared creative vision. Fans will recognize the synergy from their previous work on the ‘HiROQUEST’ albums including the massive hits “Won’t Forget This Time” and “Whole Again”. This new collection successfully merges Aoki’s legendary electro energy with the unique Hōt Teknō style that Kaaze has pioneered on the global stage.
The title track features the emotive vocals of Sarah De Warren and delivers a big-room atmosphere that recently debuted to thousands of fans at the Hypersonic Festival. Aoki describes the project as an effort to capture those euphoric festival moments where the music simply lifts the entire crowd. The EP also includes “Give It To Me” and “Self Control” which are specifically designed to dominate mainstage sets throughout the coming season. Both artists expressed immense excitement about returning to the studio to craft melodies and drops that encourage listeners to completely lose themselves in the sound.
