Epic metal force Atavistia has officially returned with ‘The Winter Way (Reforged)’, a complete ground-up reconstruction of their landmark 2020 album. Released via Blood Blast Distribution, this new version is far more than a simple remaster; it features entirely new recordings, reworked arrangements, and modernized orchestral elements that finally align with founder Mattias Sippola’s original vision. The album is spearheaded by the dramatic single “Eternal Oceans (Reforged),” which showcases the band’s ability to balance lower-tuned, heavy pacing with soaring cinematic atmospheres. This revamped track includes a brand-new guitar solo and benefited from an intentional “de-cluttering” process, ensuring that the most powerful melodic and rhythmic themes hit with maximum impact. Produced, mixed, and mastered by Sippola at Atavistic Studios, the project benefits from the addition of Spencer Budworth’s ferocious backing growls and refined performances from drummer Max Sepulveda and bassist D’wayne Murray.
