NPG Records and Paisley Park Enterprises, in partnership with Legacy Recordings, have announced a tenth-anniversary reissue of Prince’s final studio albums, ‘HITnRUN Phase One’ and ‘HITnRUN Phase Two’. Scheduled for release on January 30, 2026, this landmark event marks the first time both titles will be available on official vinyl, alongside a return to print on CD. ‘HITnRUN Phase One’, originally released in September 2015, showcased an experimental and funky collaboration with co-producer Joshua Welton, featuring contributions from artists like Rita Ora and Lianne La Havas. Its successor, ‘HITnRUN Phase Two’, arrived just months later as the final album released during Prince’s lifetime. Deeply rooted in social consciousness, the record is highlighted by the poignant track “Baltimore,” which addressed the death of Freddie Gray. These reissues provide a definitive look at the Purple One’s prolific final year, preserving the “weird and super funky” spirit of his Hit n Run pop-up era for a new generation of listeners.
