Cinematic folk-metal trailblazers Equilibrium unveil their new studio album ‘Equinox’ out now via Nuclear Blast Records, marking a bold creative chapter defined by authenticity, texture, and scale. The release arrives alongside the fiery single “I’ll Be Thunder,” a raw and impulsive track paired with a handcrafted performance video that emphasizes earthbound visuals, archaic costuming, and physical presence, all shaped by Jessica Rösch’s hands-on artistic vision. ‘Equinox’ brings together cinematic sweep, folk instrumentation, harsh and melodic passages, and modern production choices, with the band self-producing the album and collaborating with guest musicians including Shir-Ran Yinon and members of Heidevolk, while Danny McCook oversaw the mixing. The record captures Equilibrium in command of their musical language, channeling self-empowerment, reconnection, and creative independence into songs that move with weight and intention. ‘Equinox’ stands as a vivid and immersive statement, grounded in real artistry and driven by conviction.
