The single offers the first glimpse into his highly anticipated debut album ‘Tant Qu’on Aura Pied,’ arriving spring 2026. Born from profound grief in winter 2024, “Almasty” finds Aurel alone at his piano transforming pain into luminous melody, taking its name from the Almasty, a mythical Caucasian recluse serving as a metaphor for isolation and the sustaining power of human connection.
Following the loss of a close friend, Aurel crafted “Almasty” as a fragile yet hopeful meditation on memory and renewal, evoking the quiet resilience that accompanies grief as he wonders what kind of man he would have been without his friends and loved ones keeping him from becoming a recluse hidden away from the world.
