Matt Pryor of The Get Up Kids is heading out on an extensive 2026 U.S. and U.K. headline tour in support of his new solo album ‘The Salton Sea’, out now via Nightshoes Syndicate and Big Scary Monsters. The 50-date run launches January 22 in Dallas and stretches coast to coast, including standout stops at Los Angeles’s Permanent Records and New York City’s Mercury Lounge. All U.S. dates will feature support from Small Uncle, which includes Pryor’s children Lily and Jerzy Pryor, who also join him as part of his live band.
Self-produced and shaped further with mixing and additional production by Peter Katis, ‘The Salton Sea’ leans into a wide-open full-band sound with big drums, hazy guitars, and shimmering weight. The album draws inspiration from American alternative touchstones while grounding itself in personal reckoning and clarity. Recent singles including “The Dishonesty” and the title track have earned strong support across the alternative music landscape, underscoring Pryor’s continued creative momentum beyond his foundational work with The Get Up Kids.
Live, this material carries a directness that suits intimate rooms and long nights on the road. Pryor’s songwriting sits comfortably between reflection and forward motion, delivered with the confidence of an artist deeply connected to both his past and present. This tour places ‘The Salton Sea’ squarely in motion, bringing its full-band energy to audiences across North America and the U.K. in a sustained, far-reaching run.
